Neenah Paper has expanded its selection of colored, pearlized and textured papers, The Design Collection, to include four new premium paper grades from Italian papermaker Gruppo Cordenons. Neenah has also expanded its popular Stardream and Wild Papers lines. Additions are featured in a new companion swatchbook to the original Design Collection swatchbook.
 
With the expansion, Neenah says The Design Collection now offers more unique options for designers to set their work apart. These papers are specified for premium packaging, look books, high-end brochures, gift card holders, greeting cards, identity materials, and other print collateral for brands that desire to distinguish themselves by both hand and eye.  
 
The Design Collection 1.1 showcases four new brands:
—Natural Evolution papers that are high bulk, soft natural machine texture with new evolutionary coating on both sides for  brlliant ink hold out and an elegant touch; 
 
—MONNALISA Papers, which are “sisters” to Natural Evolution, with high bulk, smooth bright white sheets with special surface coating on both sides;
 
—Slide Papers—described as “Slide is Plike for packaging.” Built with a Plike based surface and optimized for more resilience.
 
—Astroprint Papers, with a unique embossed texture in a clean white for high touch versatility.
 
 
Additions include: Stardream Papers (the pearlized color leader now includes coated one side items for box wrap); So...Silk Papers (highlights the fashion colors for 2015, with an additional box wrap weight in Fashion Purple): Wild Papers (with a perfectly wild surface for embossing and letterpress with 35% cotton, and now including new colors).
