As ADF&PCD Paris gets ready for its show January 31st - February 1st, 2018, event director Christelle Anya says its team is preparing. “Everything is shaping up pretty well,” Anya says. “Once again, the event will be full. 478 exhibitors have confirmed their attendance, including 129 newcomers.”

The show will feature several changes this year, including the conference format. Anya explains, “Our team has worked hard, conducting market research, meeting brands and industries, to understand their challenges and incorporate them into a high-level conference program. The round table discussions will address global trends in Europe and the world, customer relations and regulations, and, of course, sustainable development and innovation.”

Visitors can also expect to receive ‘smart badges’ at the show, since the event will be equipped with NFC+ technology. “Our exhibitors and visitors innovate, and so do we!” Anya says. “All attendees will thus be equipped with ‘smart badges’ to collect digital information at exhibitor stands and receive a summary of their visit,” she says.

New Events

New events at the show will include the Accelerator Zone, specifically dedicated to the start-ups. Anya explains, “These were selected on the strength of their innovations in terms of materials and/or substances. These young companies have addressed environmental and/or economic issues.”

Also, the new Innovation & Technology Theatre is a new conference area open to all, where exhibitors will showcase their new products in interactive ways.

The Pentawards & ADF&PCD Innovation Awards

The Pentawards is now a part of the show as well, since ADF&PCD’s show organizer, Easyfairs, purchased it last year. “We have set aside a dedicated area at for the Pentawards; they are a permanent exhibition that travels around the world to present the prize-winners and thus the most surprising, innovative packaging in the world,” Anya says.

Once again, there will be an official ceremony to celebrate the ADF&PCD Innovation Award winners. This will take place at 4:45 pm on January 31st, 2018.

Anya adds, “ADF&PCD PARIS 2018, a genuine platform for the industry, looks forward to welcoming you at the first, leading packaging event of the year.”
