After achieving what the brand calls “major success” in Union Square, Korea’s No. 1 beauty brand, Innisfree, is opening a second U.S. store on July 19th. This one will be at the Westfield Garden State Plaza in Northern New Jersey. Innisfree boasts over 900 SKUs ranging from skincare to hair care to home fragrances and more.
On opening day, customers at the door will be eligible for free deluxe product samples, eco-friendly totes and the chance to win a $100 Innisfree shopping spree.
Innisfree launched in the U.S. in 2017, with its very first flagship store in New York City’s Union Square. The brand offers beauty products powered by natural ingredients sourced from Korea’s Jeju Island.
Julien Bouzitat, head of the Innisfree brand, says, “Last September we introduced Innisfree in the U.S. with the opening of our NYC flagship store in Union Square - an urban oasis with a 450- square foot living green wall to evoke Jeju Island, our brand place of origin where we own and operate a USDA organic green tea farm. For our second location, Westfield Garden State Plaza provides a great opportunity for us to test the second part of our distribution strategy with a smaller scale yet very experiential store model. We are looking forward to meeting our customers in premium malls and introducing them to our K- beauty naturally derived skincare and customizable makeup.”
Eco-Packaging
Bouzitat says the brand operates with the environment in mind. “In an effort to reduce our environmental footprint, all secondary packaging cardboard boxes at Innisfree are made of fibers coming from Jeju Island tangerine peels and are printed with soy vegetal ink. We also invite our customers to bring back the primary plastic components to our stores in exchange of loyalty reward points, and we have partnered with Terracyle to repurpose that material.”
