Pharrell Williams, a 47-year-old rapper, producer, and fashion icon says that no one explains to men often enough how to take care of their skin—so he's taking on the mission.
Pharrell's new brand, Humanrace, has quickly made him the beauty industry's newest star. Vogue recently asked him to share his skin care routine, step-by-step, as part of its Celebrity Beauty video series, which he does in this video—live from his blue-tiled shower.
As he holds up his Lotus Enzyme Exfoliator, he says, the packaging was influenced by my love of Japanese culture and all the craftsmanship that goes into the bowls, the pottery..." Then he demonstrates how to use it, by pushing down on the lid to dispense the product. He also shows the Braille on the package, close-up.
"You're gonna need a good cleanser, a good exfoliator," he advises, as he shows his products. "I exfoliate like a madman," he adds.
He reveals a skin care tip that Naomi Campbell gave him once. He says, in his best (and hilarious) 'Naomi' voice—"Pharrell, when you wash your face you go upward not downward..."
