Today, July 15th, is the second annual National Clean Beauty Day, according to the National Today calendar.
Juice Beauty created the day last year, as a way to call attention to the clean beauty movement. (The image above on the right is via Instagram, @juicebeauty)
Juice Beauty is often referred to as the OG ("original") clean beauty brand—and July 15th is also the date it was founded.
Juice Beauty also sources its ingredients from its own organic farm—for a product line that is truly "farm to beauty." The products are all-natural and organic.
Product formulations begin with an antioxidant and vitamin-rich organic botanical juice base—rather than PEGS/petroleum derivatives or water. This base is combined with powerful skincare ingredients, and products are clinically tested to show they are effective.
Beauty Brands Join in the 'Clean Beauty Day' Celebrations
No matter who started National Clean Beauty Day, lots of beauty brands are celebrating. One brand announced the day with the image above on the left, posted to Instagram via @cleanbeautykit.Clean Beauty Kit (CBK) is a 'clean' skincare subscription box filled with products from beauty brands founded by women and made in the US. Clean Beauty Kit's founder and curator is makeup artist Cassandra McClure, who says CBK is the first professional makeup artist-approved subscription kit.
Jill Turnbull Beauty has a mission to create "honest clean beauty" —and founder Jill Turnbull believes in "full ingredient transparency, 100% product biodegradability, and environmentally conscious production."
Jill Turnbull Beauty's makeup products include Glow Stix—a paraben-free, intensely pigmented highlighter. Truly multi-purpose, it can be a contour product, an eyeshadow, or lipstick. Glow Jelly is a paraben-free smooth pearlescent highlighter in a pot. Stay tuned for more about the brand.
