Can’t remember how long that lipgloss has been rolling around in the bottom of your bag? Now Cargo offers a way to keep track, because lipgloss, like food, has an expiration date, and once opened and used, bacteria is introduced, and the product should be replaced nine months after opening. Cargo’s glosses are housed in packaging that incorporates cutting-edge technology known as Timestrip, in which a tiny strip embedded in the cap of the gloss keeps track of how long the gloss has been open. Simply insert the strip into the cap of the gloss to activate. The Timestrip window will start turning red, indicating the passage of time. When nine months are up and the entire window is red, you know it’s time to throw out your gloss. The feature is available in Cargo’s Classic Lip Gloss ($22), as well as in its blu_ray Lip Gloss ($24).
