Seven member companies of the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors Association (ICMAD) were recognized with the association’s third annual CITY Awards for Cosmetic Innovators of The Year. The CITY Awards were judged by advertising, marketing and sales executives with experience, but without current affiliation, in the cosmetic industry. The winners:

At its May 17 board of directors meeting held in New York City, ICMAD has elected officers for the 2006-2007 year.
Officers elected include: president — David Schieffelin, Models Prefer Ltd., Waterbury, CT; vice president — Carl Geffken, Carl Geffken Consultants, Guilford, CT; vice president —Pamela Viglielmo, The Gramercy House, Fairfield, CT; treasurer — Howard Baker, H. Baker Development, Hopatcong, NJ; and secretary — Sharon Blinkoff, Buchanan Ingersoll, PC, New York, NY. The Board also re-appointed Stanley Katz, Katco Industries, Inc., Northport, NY and Marva Kalish, Marketing Plus Consultants, Douglaston, NY, for additional one year terms as chair and vice chair, respectively.
The ICMAD nominating committee has also announced the slate of candidates for the board of directors for 2006-2007. They were elected by the ICMAD membership at the 33rd Annual Meeting at Tavern on the Green in New York City on June 21.
