The 2006 HBA (Health & Beauty America) expo has come to an end. The three-day exhibition and educational conference, held Sept. 12-14, 2006 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, attracted 18,152 attendees and 650 exhibitors from around the world.
More than 700 attendees filled the Special Events Hall for the opening keynote address by Eric Thoreux of Coty, entitled “Brand Building Innovations”. As president of Coty Beauty Americas, he discussed how the industry needs to redefine conventional marketing and distribution methods to foster more creative connections with consumers.
“This show gets more amazing every year. From a business standpoint, it is our most productive and successful event that we participate in all year. And by exhibiting at HBA, the companies know that we are committed to this industry. We have met with attendees from all over the world who are looking for new innovations and real projects,” said Elaine Binder, co-founder and executive vice president of SpongeTech.
