Eight member companies of the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors Association (ICMAD) were recognized for their innovative products, packaging and advertising at the association’s fourth annual CITY Awards for Cosmetic Innovators of The Year. The winners were announced at an awards ceremony during ICMAD’s 34th annual meeting on June 13, 2007, at Bridgewaters in New York City.
Awards included Personal Care Package Design: HydraCure Intense Moisture Hair Masque and NanoWorks ShineLuxe, both by PureOlogy Serious Colour Care, Irvine, CA tied each other; Color Cosmetic Package Design: fRXtion by tarte, inc., New York, NY; Skin Care Package Design: aMENity Anti Breakout Gel by amenity, New York, NY; Personal Care Product: betty color for the hair down there by bettybeauty, inc., New York, NY; Color Cosmetic Product: Nova Lash Eyelash Extensions by Nova Lash, Houston, TX; Skin Care Product: Body Builder Anti-Bruise Body Lotion by Borell Beauty, New York, NY; Print Advertisement—Trade: ECRU New York collection by DePasquale, Fairlawn, NJ; and Website Innovation: www.bettybeauty.com by bettybeauty, inc., New York, NY.
Additionally, the ICMAD Board of Directors reelected David Schieffelin, Models Prefer Ltd., Waterbury, CT, president of the association at the May board meeting in New York City. Other officers elected are vice presidents Carl Geffken and Pamela Viglielmo; treasurer Howard Baker; and secretary Sharon Blinkoff.
