Beauty Industry West (BIW), the West Coast based beauty trade organization, recently presented the biennial Legend of the Year Award to Dr. Howard Murad, CEO of Murad, Inc., for his contributions to the beauty and health industries. Dr. Murad was recognized for pioneering the Inclusive Health approach to comprehensive health and well-being that tackles cellular restoration through a three-pronged process (topical care, internal care and emotional self-care), for creating one of the first medically supervised spas, and for developing innovative technologies and scientifically proven formulas for complete skin and body wellness. Past recipients of the BIW Legend of the Year Award include Annette Green, founder of The Fragrance Foundation and Aida Thibiant of the Aida Thibiant Skin Care and Thibiant International.
