Disc Graphics, Hauppauge, NY, providers of innovative packaging solutions, has purchased a NexPress S3000, with SE Class Upgrades that makes it the latest in digital press technology. According to Don Sinkin, Disc Graphics CEO, “The NexPress complements our offset press capabilities and provides the digital solution required by many of our markets.”
The NexPress, made by Kodak, has been offered since 2000 and, with over 1,000 installed on six continents, it is one of the most widely used digital presses. The S3000 model includes state-of-the-art features including 5 over 5 color printing or the option to print 4-colors and apply coating in-line.
The NexPress S3000 with dual deliveries can handle 60lb paper to 16pt paperboard.
In determining the right press for its markets, Margaret Krumholz, president of Disc Graphics, notes, “The press can print on a wide variety of substrates that can satisfy the diverse packaging needs of our customer base.” The NexPress is rated to print on nearly 600-substrates, the most on the market and its print quality is unrivaled. Additionally, the print consumables are inert and the S3000 model is the most environmentally friendly of all the digital devices in the market.
Stephen Frey, senior vice president of sales, says “Many beauty industry clients require short print runs during the creative process, for promotional print, and to minimize the risk of excess inventory for emerging products. The NexPress fulfills these requirements offering both high-quality and cost-effective short-run solutions.”
