Geämi Features Bubble Wrap Alternative

Geämi showcased its Bubble Wrap packaging alternative at HBA, and also held a featured spot in the New Products Showcase at the expo. The company's environmentally responsible paper packaging is made from sustainably sourced Kraft paper that is diecut and then expanded into a honeycomb web. The honeycomb web design results in a resilient and cost effective protective packaging and cushioning material that replaces oil-based plastic packaging materials such as Bubble Wrap and air pillows used to protect products during shipment.

"We've been in business for 15 years, but now that the public is 'voting' with their dollars by increasingly choosing to do business with environmentally conscious companies, the demand for our eco-friendly packaging solutions has been on the rise. Our customers are not only making a positive impact on the environment, but also improving the look of their products in the shipping box and enhancing their public brand image," said Lynn Moe, business development director.

In 2009, over 4 million packages were shipped using Geämi to protect their contents during shipping and handling. "Companies that ship beauty products have found that bundling items together in Geami has provided opportunities to reduce their overall packaging costs. We are excited to be exhibiting at HBA Global Expo to demonstrate these packaging solutions," said Moe.
