Thierry Mugler first launched refillable fragrance bottles over twenty years ago, but the brand will now feature "refilling stations," called "Sources" (French for "springs") in more than 2,000 of its retail locations throughout France -- and at 11,500 retail locations throughout the world.
Users of the brand's four main women's fragrances -- the Angel eau de toilette and Womanity as well as the already-refillable Alien and Angel eau de parfum -- will soon be able to bring their used-up bottles to these refilling stations. Customers that choose to refill their empty bottles on site will be charged lower prices than they would pay for a full new bottle.
In an effort to raise awareness about this concept, customers will begin to see empty perfume bottles on store shelves, in April.
