Elizabeth Arden is looking for a replacement for Stephen J. Smith, who has resigned as executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Smith will be the new executive vice president and chief financial officer at The Hain Celestial Group, which is based in Lake Success, New York. Smith will remain with Arden through September 1, 2013.
Scott Beattie, chairman, president and chief executive officer, Elizabeth Arden, commented:
“Steve has been a valuable member of our management team since he joined us in 2001, shortly after the Elizabeth Arden acquisition. Along with the strong finance and accounting team that Steve has built, he has been instrumental in managing the financial governance of our Company to very high standards. Steve has been a trusted colleague, and on behalf of the Company, I'd like to thank Steve for his dedication, leadership and contributions and wish him the best in his new position."
Smith said: “The past 12 years have been extremely rewarding, and it has been an honor to participate in the Company’s significant growth over that time. While I will miss my colleagues, I look forward to new challenges in another consumer products industry as I pursue this unexpected opportunity. Elizabeth Arden has a strong and highly talented finance organization, and I am confident that Elizabeth Arden will continue to enjoy much future success."
