Michelle Phan, who got her start on YouTube and now has her own multi-channel network, FAWN (For All Women Network) – is partnering with Endemol Beyond USA. The partnership marks one of the largest global deals in digital history, between a YouTube star and an international media company.
Endemol Beyond USA is a premium channel network, and it’s affiliated with Endemol North America, which produces "Big Brother" (CBS), "Steve Harvey" (NBCU), "Wipeout" (ABC) . The company will work with FAWN to build a premium, female-focused lifestyle network.
Phan will spearhead the development of original content for both the digital and broadcast spaces, as well as mentor new talent, incubating the next generation of multi-platform trailblazers.
Phan commented: "As one of the first creators on YouTube, I've been fortunate to sit in the front row, witnessing the remarkable evolution of digital media. The experiences and knowledge I've been afforded are invaluable and I'm excited to take that skill set, together with Endemol Beyond, to build a reliable, reputable business. I'm ready to mentor new talent under FAWN and work to develop new programming ideas with them.”
