Lancome recently held its fifth annual Genifique Day, to raise funds during its month-long campaign to benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Lancome is inviting consumers to Instagram or Tweet hands in the shape of a heart now through October 25th, and for each photo with the hashtag #LancomeGivesBack, the brand will donate $1.
There will also be eight regional events to promote fund-raising efforts throughout the month, called Genifique Day. These will be held in a number of states including Texas, Florida and Tennessee - as well as at Macy's Herald Square in New York City on October 24th. The brand's celebrity makeup artist, Mickey Williams, will be on hand to make over participants.
During Genifique Day events, Lancome will donate $7 for each bottle sold.
Lancome ambassadress LUPITA NYONG'O commented:
"I'm honored to be affiliated with a brand such as Lancome that supports such a worthy and meaningful cause. Growing up, I witnessed doctors in my own family work tirelessly to restore the health of people around them. I understand how important it is to support efforts to find cures for critical diseases, and I therefore proudly support the work that St. Jude is doing, especially in pediatric cancer, to help the children there lead better, healthier lives."
