MyChelle Dermaceuticals has announced it is donating 10 percent of sales from three of its top-selling products to the nonprofit Whole Planet Foundation. Qualifying products must be purchased in store at Whole Foods Market locations nationwide March 20-22, 2015.
The products included in this promotion are shown above - Perfect C Serum, Remarkable Retinal Serum and Sun Shield SPF 28. The 10 percent pledge will help fund Whole Planet Foundation's mission to provide impoverished entrepreneurs in the U.S. and in developing countries a chance at financial success through microcredit in those communities that supply Whole Foods Market stores with products.
"For 15 years, giving has been a natural part of the culture and philosophy at MyChelle through various organizations that empower girls and women to realize their true potential with access to educational and wellness services," said Kimberly Heathman, chief marketing officer of MyChelle. "Whole Planet Foundation's mission is close to the heart of our own company objective of helping individuals to succeed in life by overcoming obstacles and gaining economic freedom."
In 2005, natural and organic retailer Whole Foods Market established Whole Planet Foundation as an expansion of its mission to be an active participant in the global community. The nonprofit provides grants to microfinance institutions in impoverished communities where the grocer sources products. Those funds are then disbursed in the form of small loans to individuals in each community with the greatest financial need.
