Fredric Brandt, of Dr. Brandt Skincare, was found dead in his Florida home on Sunday, The Daily News reported - and he leaves behind a legacy. Brandt was the "dermatologist to the stars" and a pioneer in skincare research.
A spokesperson for the Miami police department have confirmed that suicide, by hanging, was the cause of death. His publicist told the Associated Press that he had been dealing with depression for some time. Brandt was found by his housekeeper in his house in Coconut Grove, according to the MIami Herald. He was 65 years old and born in Newark, New Jersey.

Dr. Peter Kopelson, a prominent Beverly Hills dermatologist, called him a "pioneer of fillers." But Brandt's longtime publicist Jacquie Tractenberg told Page Six: "The show definitely deeply hurt him, he was being made fun of because of the way he looks. It is mean, and it was bullying. But the show was not the reason for his depression, and it was not the reason he would take his own life."
