American Crew, a professional leader in men's grooming, has named a pro hairstylist as the winner of its 2014 - 2015 All-Star Challenge - Sergiy Shapochka.

The All-Star Challenge is the brand’s annual global competition to recognize the best men's hair stylist in the world.

Shapochka is from the Ukraine, and was chosen over thousands of stylists who entered the contest from 26 countries around the world. Contestants were asked to submit their interpretation of the “American Crew man.” American Crew is a brand inspired by the classic grooming and style of the men of the 40s and 50s.

The 15 finalists were flown to Rome, Italy, for the final round. Each stylist was given 30 minutes to shoot and select a photo to represent their final cut to the judges.

Paul Wilson, American Crew Artistic Director, said, "The American Crew man is one who modernizes the classic looks that inspired the creation of our brand. That's what Sergiy accomplished today. Sergiy's winning look is a unique representation of the groomed pompadour.”
