Humanitarian awards from countries including the United States, Korea and Greater China were recently presented to Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc., recognizing the company’s commitment to improving the lives of children worldwide.
“Nu Skin was founded with a mission to be a force for good in the world,” said Truman Hunt, president and CEO. “It is rewarding to see that as the company has grown, so has the reach of our humanitarian efforts. These recent honors are a reflection of the commitment and compassion of our sales force, customers and employees who live our mission each day and make a difference in the lives of children around the world.”
In the U.S., the U.S. Direct Selling Association presented Nu Skin with an ETHOS Award in the category of Vision for Tomorrow, which recognizes a direct selling company that demonstrates outstanding corporate social responsibility and effective efforts in improving the lives of others. Nu Skin was recognized for the impact of its social enterprise initiative to provide meals for malnourished children around the world as well as its non-profit work for numerous projects such as helping families in Malawi learn proper agricultural techniques to improve their quality of life by becoming self-sufficient. Entries are judged by outside experts and industry leaders on the time, effort and contributions of the programs.
China Philanthropy Times recognized Nu Skin Greater China for its outstanding humanitarian efforts by naming the company as a Top 10 Charity Enterprise in China for the sixth consecutive year. In addition, the China Foundation for Disabled Persons granted Nu Skin Greater China the Charity Diamond award for its outstanding contribution in supporting the disabled. This is the highest award the charity gives to organizations.
Nu Skin Korea was awarded a 2015 Stevie award in the category of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program of the Year for its efforts in promoting education with the Nu Hope Libraries. Since 2008, Nu Skin Korea has remodeled and stocked 16 libraries in rural areas of Korea with educational supplies to support children’s education.
