A new at-home beauty device is launching online in December and then in Sephora stores in January 2016 - Dermaflash by DD Karma. Its subtle sonic vibration - as well as its shape - were inspired by a hummingbird's wings. But it's concept was also modeled after the spa treatment, dermaplaning.
The beauty device will removes dead surface cells and fine hairs around the forehead, cheeks, jaw line, lip and chin. The Dermaflash system retails for $189, and comes with everything needed for six at-home treatments including prep cleanser, single-use edges and soothing balm.
Priya Venkatesh, VP of Merchandising for Sephora, said, "Sephora is excited to be launching Dermaflash as the first of its kind anti-aging and exfoliating device. This technology brings a sought after spa treatment into people's own homes in a safe and efficacious way."
