MAC Cosmetics is set to launch a new makeup line by Chris Chang of Poesia, and Refinery 29 says it has "museum-quality packaging."
Chang is a fashion designer based in Shanghai, whi started out with childrenswear before launching her womenswear line, Poesia, in 2009.
The upcoming Chris Chang x MAC collection is inspired by the ancient Chinese Art form Kunqu. Some of the new products are shown above, including the compact, which is decorated with a colorful pattern. And the products inside the packages are just as vibrant. The line includes, for example, creamy orange lipstick and turquoise eye shadow.
Chang said in a statement, “My inspiration comes from the traditional aesthetics [and]...costumes from various countries, as well as the transformative world of art. Color is the integral fuel of my imagination and the spirit MAC and I share. This collaboration is a dream come true for the maximalists of the world.”
Here's a slideshow at Popsugar that features the entire collection.
