The supervisory board of Douglas Holding AG has appointed Isabelle Parize as the new CEO of the company, effective immediately. Parize is the long-standing president of Nocibé and current member of the Douglas executive board responsible for Southern Europe.
Her predecessor, Dr. Henning Kreke moved to the supervisory board of Douglas Holding AG at the end of January 2016 to become its chairman.
Dr. Kreke, chairman of the supervisory board says: “I am very pleased with today’s decision. Isabelle Parize is perfectly suited to further accelerate Douglas’ growth path. She brings thirty years of experience in leading positions at the largest international beauty, cosmetics, internet and media companies with her. Over the past years, she has delivered outstanding results for Nocibé in France, and Douglas in Spain, Italy and Portugal driving a significant increase in sales and launching the successful international rollout of the private label. As a member of the Douglas management team, she shares our vision for Douglas and has proven to be capable of forming the right team to deliver against our ambitious plans. We are convinced that Isabelle Parize is the perfect fit for the CEO position.”
The Douglas executive board now consists of CEO Isabelle Parize, Erika Tertilt (CFO) and Claudia Reinery, member of the board, responsible for Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as Real Estate.
The move comes as Douglas also announces an investment program of more than EUR 100 million and an agressive innovation and growth plan to strengthen and expand its position as the European omni-channel retail leader in the competitive European retail market for beauty and cosmetics.
Douglas will also move its headquarters from Hagen to Dusseldorf, merging all customer-facing functions currently based in Hagen with the company’s online team currently based in Cologne.
