Joanna Coles, editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan magazine and editorial director of Seventeen, will be honored on Tuesday, June 7 at The Fragrance Foundation Awards at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall. She will receive the inaugural Gamechanger Award, which was created “to honor an individual or organization that exemplifies creativity and business innovation.”
The Awards, hosted by Alec Baldwin, will also honor Leslie H. Wexner, the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of L Brands, with the Hall of Fame Award; and IFF’s Sophia Grosjman, with the Lifetime Achievement, Perfumer award.
Coles will receive the Foundation’s newly announced Award for her business acumen in “forging her own way, changing the rules with each publication she’s worked with and leading each title into the digital age.”
According to the Fragrance Foundation, in her current roles, Coles oversees the best-selling women’s magazines in the United States, and has built Cosmo’s audience by 13% across platforms. She fearlessly uses the brand to inform and empower young women.”
