Bond No. 9 is launching another luxurious fragrance trio inspired by Dubai. The bottles, and pricepoint, both reflect the Dubai's extravagance. A 100 ml bottle retails for $550.
The collection will launch first in New York, and then globally in May. It includes Dubai Citrine, Dubai Amber, and Dubai Amethyst. The set is a follow-up to last year's original trio of Dubai-inspired scents - Dubai Emerald, Dubai Ruby and Dubai Indigo.
Each fragrance is named after a jewel, and is in a glass bottle, vibrantly decorated in a color inspired by each gemstone. The bottles are encased in a gold metal oveshell, which features an ornate, die-cut design.
The Specifics
Bond No. 9 considers all its fragrances to be unisex - never specifying a gender - but in this collection, Dubai Citrine is the most feminine. It opens with notes of bergamot, red berries, fir balsam, seaweed; with a heart of magnolia, geranium, marigold, and lily; plus musk, amber, dry oakmoss and smoky vetiver at its base.
Dubai Amethyst has floral topnotes—lily and rose. These lead into a heart of jasmine and vanilla-esque tonka. Its robust, unexpected base includes animalic ambroxan, whiskey-like tobacco, and patchouli.
Dubai Amber includes bergamot, saffron, pink pepper, and raspberry, giving way to Bulgarian rose, jasmine, balsamic gurjun, and guaiac wood, before ending with a resin-y, cognac-like amber enhanced by cedar wood and vanilla.
