Designers Isabel and Ruben Toledo have launched a new fragrance in its Hot House Beauties collection, "Pink Putti."
In the world of classical art, the word, Putti, references mythical winged infants that were believed to influence the lives and loves of mortals, just what every woman needs looking over her.
The "pink" in the name references "the majestic pink marble columns of the Trianon at Versailles Palace, the fabled pink house of Christian Dior and Aristotle Onassis, and the studios of Frida Khalo and Diego Rivera," the brand stated.
The bottle is gold, with a light pink label.
The Fragrance
Isabel Toledo explains why the fragrance was timed for a Mother's Day launch, saying, says, "I am channeling all of the powerful women in my life, especially my mother who mastered the dual qualities of strength and gentleness. We celebrate the sensuality of womanhood which does not fade with motherhood."
The fragrance is a Fruity, Floral Oriental, developed by Givaudan. It opens with a burst of Pink Dragonfruit, combined with White Mariposa and Mango top notes; followed by a heart of Vetiver Haiti Opur, French Lavender, and Yellow Peony; ending with a base of White Amber, Oakmoss, Sandalwood, Vanilla, and Musk.
A Retail Partnership with Lane Bryant
The Hot House Beauties collection is sold exclusively at Lane Bryant, along with the Isabel Toledo for Lane Bryant fashion collection, which marked the retailer's first-ever designer collaboration.
Lane Bryant's CEO Linda Heasley said, "We are thrilled to work with Isabel and Ruben Toledo on the continuation of our first-ever fragrance collaboration for Lane Bryant—and with such a special fragrance just in time for Mother's Day. We know our existing customer appreciates the Toledos' approach to artistry and design and loved their first two scents, Kuba Rose and Crystal Honey. I hope the introduction of Pink Putti, opens the door to more women experiencing the brand for the first time."
