Xyrena's new fragrance collection features packaging modeled after VHS tapes. The new packaging, which pays homage to the videocassette, was featured at the Hammer Museum's Artisan Independent Experimental Scent Fair this past weekend in Los Angeles.
The fragrances in the new packaging is Xyrena's XHS collection, which will be available on its website beginning May 11th. The first fragrances in the XHS collection are: Basic Bitch, Pool Boy, Hellanut and Cinemaniac, which are all unisex scents. The brand's Dark Ride fragrance will also be re-released in XHS "format".
Xyrena made the VHS-style boxes to house its fragrance bottles by retrofitting original manufacturing molds that were used decades ago by major film distributors. The black clamshell case is decorated with with film-inspired artwork.
Three of the five new XHS fragrances feature illustrations by LA-based concept artist Devon Whitehead.
