Molton Brown has collaborated with Seabourn Cruise lines to develop and launch Seabourn Signature Scents - a collection of exotic fragrances designed to use in products for the cruise line’s passengers.
The new scents are in the following Seabourn branded hair and body products by Molton Brown: shampoo, conditioner, bath & shower gel, and body lotion, which are all in squeeze tubes and shown above.
Molton Brown has been collaborating with the cruise ship company for the past 14 years. The products are all onboard as complimentary amenities in guest suites on all three of Seabourn’s ships. Additionally, in early 2017, the Seabourn Signature Scents will be available for sale.
Christopher Prelog, vice president of hotel operations for Seabourn, says, "Our new Seabourn Signature Scents are the result of genuine collaboration with Molton Brown, with several months spent developing distinctive scent combinations that will serve to remind guests of the experience of their Seabourn cruise long after they've returned home.”
Gregory G. Habeeb, global vice president, Hotel & Hospitality at Molton Brown, said, "We worked very closely with the Seabourn team to develop these unique fragrances, resulting in completely bespoke blends and packaging designs that reflect the line's luxurious guest experience.”
Two Exclusive Blends
Two of the new exclusive scents were blended from four unique ingredients sourced from the coastlines that Seabourn ships explore. They are Immersive Samphire & Eucalyptus and Inspiring Basil & Vetiver.
Perfumer Philippe Bousseton developed the blend for Samphire & Eucalyptus, explaining, “The uplifting aromas of fresh samphire from the rocky, salt-sprayed Atlantic coast of France and enlivening eucalyptus from China are balanced with cardamom, cedarwood, violet and mint for a captivating finish in the body lotion and bath & shower gel.”
Perfumer Heidrun Harder created the Basil & Vetiver, which, “mirrors the relaxing, sanctuary-like ambience of The Spa at Seabourn, this scent blends Vietnamese basil oil and aromatic vetiver from Haiti with cardamom, bergamot, cedarwood and petitgrain.” Harder says “it is very sophisticated, rounded and clean, with aromatic notes perfect for hair care."
