FaceCake Marketing Technologies has launched a new mobile app, for iOS - GlamScout. The company says it is an entirely new way to discover cosmetics.
The app features FaceCake's ColorMatch visual search, allowing users to virtually recreate their favorite street style, red carpet, or runway beauty looks by identifying the makeup shades in any photo.
FaceCake is the creator of the Swivel Virtual Dressing Room, mobile app ShadeScout, and online AR shopping platform CAKE.
How It Works
Users can recreate makeup looks by snapping a photo, uploading a saved image, or selecting from today's trends in the app's Featured Looks. GlamScout will identify the makeup shades in the photo - and enables users to scout the looks, and receive corresponding product recommendations.
The app will delivers direct product matches for immediate purchase, from its library that includes over 100 prestige and mass brands. Product results are shown at different price points that accommodate any budget featuring the "Glam Look" or the "Glam Look for Less."
