L'Oréal USA has announced the 2016 For Women In Science Fellows - Anela Choy, Shruti Naik, Amy Orsborn, Laura Sampson and Moriel Zelikowsky.
The five winners, who are all female scientists based in the U.S., will each be awarded $60k to advance their postdoctoral research. They will also visit the White House, National Academy of Sciences, a New Jersey Public School and L'Oréal's headquarters.
L'Oréal USA will host an award ceremony for the winners in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, Oct. 6th. During the week leading up to the ceremony, the fellows will have the opportunity to engage with L'Oréal and other STEM leaders throughout the greater New York and Washington, D.C. communities.
Frédéric Rozé, president/CEO, L'Oréal USA said, "We are proud to recognize this group of exceptional female scientists for their innovative research and dedication to inspiring the next generation of women in STEM. By providing support at a pivotal moment in their careers, we hope to empower them to further their work, continue on a path to become future leaders in their fields and perhaps one day join our previous Laureates and win a Nobel Prize."
