Professional hair care brand Sexy Hair has announced a recent achievement -- donating more than $1 million to deserving charities and organizations. The company celebrated by hosting a "Red Party" gala -- see the image above and caption below.
Sexy Hair raises money for charities through its annual company-wide walk-a-thons, product warehouse sales, and limited edition packaging.
The company has donated to dozens of notable charitable organizations and causes over the years, most notably to Sexy Hair brand partner Look Good Feel Better.
"It is both humbling and amazing to be a partner with Look Good Feel Better, an initiative that is committed to better the lives of women," said Karl-Heinz Pitsch, President and CEO at Sexy Hair. "The core mission of Sexy Hair is to encourage people everywhere to look and feel their best. We are proud to have surpassed our charitable goal as a company, as we have accomplished something as a team that extends beyond the success of our business."
The "Red Party" Gala
To celebrate the milestone, Sexy Hair most recently hosted the "Red Party" gala at the company's annual sales conference, where an additional $114,000 was given to Look Good Feel Better from fundraising efforts in 2016.
In attendance was Calysta "Caly" Bevier, the stage 3 ovarian cancer survivor who made her mark on Ellen and impressed the judges on America's Got Talent last year with her vocals and passion. Bevier was honored recently by Look Good Feel Better as one of their "DreamGirls," and is a new ambassador of the charity.
Louanne Roark, Executive Director of the Personal Care Products Council Foundation and the Look Good Feel Better program, added, "Look Good Feel Better helps improve morale and gives women with cancer back some control, confidence and hope during a very difficult time. We are proud to hold a partnership with Sexy Hair; their support has helped strengthen the program's reach, and echoed the positive effects of self-esteem and self-love."
