Brand marketers now have a new incentive for brands to use Snapchat to connect with consumers, and it involves QR codes. Snapchat already uses Snapcode, a personalized QR code that links to a user’s profile. Now, users have the ability to create QR codes for individual websites, which might be a very useful feature for beauty brands.
Engadget explains that if a Snapchat user wants to share an article or plug a favorite page, there’s no need for friends to leave the app to share or view it. Simply capture the code and start browsing from within the app.
