Mother Dirt has updated the packaging for its biome-friendly, preservative-free shampoo. The new bottle lowers the brand's carbon footprint by using 49% less plastic.
Mother Dirt claims to be the first company to create live probiotic skincare products that nurture the good bacteria of the skin.
The brand's shampoo also now has an extended expiration date of six months - a 3X improvement over the previous iteration. This change is what allowed the brand to switch from its airless bottle to its new bottle, which has a push-in dispensing cap.
"Beyond any singular update, we're most excited to be pioneering a new way to develop products with the skin's microbiome at the forefront," said Jasmina Aganovic, President of Mother Dirt. "Our patent-pending development process ensures that each ingredient and formula are tested against the most sensitive beneficial members of this microbial ecosystem, something no one else in the industry is currently doing."
Mother Dirt products are sold on the brand's website.
