Schmidt's Naturals launched a new deodorant, Waves, and the company is donating 5 % of proceeds to the Surfrider Foundation -- and its' mission to protect the world's oceans and beaches.
The new natural deodorant is available in a tropical-inspired scent and a sensitive skin formula.
Jaime Schmidt, founder and chief product officer, Schmidt's Naturals, says, "WAVES is unlike any other scent that we've produced to date – the undertones of cool water and peaks of tropical fruit evoke the ultimate summer aroma.
A Fun Label Design
The deodorant packages are wrapped in a labels designed by Portland-based illustrator Jillian Barthold. Jaime Schmidt says the company asked Barthold to design a "super stylish and vibey label," to draw attention to the product.
'Waves' Supports Oceans
In addition to raising funds for the Surfrider Foundation, Schmidt's has also teamed up with innovative outdoor lifestyle brand Poler Outdoor Stuff to raise additional awareness.
Jaime Schmidt adds, "We are always striving to bring innovation to the category in a way that is progressive and ethically responsible; true to the brand's mission. The Surfrider Foundation works to combat ocean pollution and coastal degradation.
