SC Johnson, manufacturers of products including Windex, Glade, Shout, Raid and Pledge, has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Method and Ecover, two consumer brands from People Against Dirty, which offers home care, hand and body, and laundry products sold in North America, Europe and a number of other countries around the world.  Method and Ecover are known for their environmentally friendly products and packaging.

SC Johnson, a 131-year-old company, is a leading manufacturer of household cleaning products and products for air care, home storage, shoe care, personal care and pest control, as well as professional products. It reportedly generates $10 billion in sales, employs approximately 13,000 people globally, and sells products in virtually every country around the world.
 
The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals in the U.S., U.K. and Germany, and other customary closing conditions. As a private company, SC Johnson does not disclose details regarding financial or business transactions.
