The L'Oréal USA For Women in Science program announced today the 10 winners of its Changing the Face of STEM (CTFS) mentoring grants.

The 2017 "Changing the Face of STEM" grant winners will fund 10 projects to advance girls and women in STEM programs across the U.S. The winning projects exemplify a broad range of activities and partnerships focused on mentoring and engaging girls and women in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), from preschool to graduate school. The grants will help fund STEM programs throughout the country including in California, Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Missouri, New York, Texas and Utah.
The 10 grant winners are: Dr. Arpita Bose, assistant professor, Washington University, St. Louis; Dr. Livia S. Eberlin, assistant professor, University of Texas at Austin; Dr. Gigi Galiana, assistant professor, Yale University; Dr. Joanna Kelley, assistant professor, Washington State University; Dr. Laura Lapham, assistant professor, University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science; Dr. M. Nia Madison, assistant professor, Miami Dade College; Dr. Nozomi Nishimura, assistant professor, Cornell University; Dr. Pardis Sabeti, professor, Harvard University and the Broad Institute; Dr. Sridevi Sarma, associate professor, Johns Hopkins University; and Dr. Luisa Whittaker-Brooks, assistant professor, University of Utah.
