Ashini Amin (shown on left) has been appointed to the role of vice president of Color Cosmetics research & development at Englewood Lab. Amin will report directly to Englewood Lab’s Chief Scientific Officer and be responsible for the creative and technical aspects of product development for Color Cosmetics and related products. She holds a B.S. in biochemistry from Rutgers University and brings an extensive background in beauty innovation and research. For the past 20 years Amin has been with L’Oreal in a variety of innovation leadership roles, and has made major contributions to such world-class brands as Maybelline (Foundation, Lip, Powder Categories), as well as developed Nail Category products across all L’Oréal brands including Essie. Most recently she was senior scientific liaison, open development, for L’Oreal and worked across areas of Skin, Makeup and Hair Care development in this role.
Achim Ruehlemann is now vice president of sales for the newly formed Cosmetic Division at Englewood Lab. He will report directly to Mami Schinasi, Englewood Lab’s senior vice president of business development. In this position, Ruehlemann will help to oversee Englewood Lab’s entry into the color cosmetics manufacturing category.
Ruehlemann has an extensive background in beauty manufacturing, including leadership roles with Faber-Castell Cosmetics, Intercos and Schwan Cosmetics. He is a German native and MBA graduate of the International Business School, Lippstadt, Germany.
