Pratt Institute will present The DNA of Design: Design Symposium 2017 on November 13th.
Moderated by Marc Rosen, of Marc Rosen Associates, a panel of experts will discuss how a brand’s DNA is incumbent upon the inherent desire for design to be part of a brand’s genetic blueprint.
“Today, sophisticated design is not just for the sophisticated few. The mantra of stores like Target is ‘design appreciation for all,’ knowing that the design gene is within all of us,” Rosen explains.
The symposium will deal with the crossover of design as “a state of mind and a state of fact.” It will cover every design discipline — fashion, interiors, products, entertainment, and transportation.
The event is supported by the Marc Rosen Education Fund, with additional funding by Juliana Terian, The Terian Foundation.
