Yankee Candle is opening a pop-up shop in New York City's SoHo neighborhood tomorrow, November 9th, at 503 Broadway -- and it will stay open for holiday shoppers, through January 3rd, 2018.
The CandlePower by Yankee Candle pop-up shop is 5340 sq ft, and designed to provide give an "immersive, multi-sensory experience," the brand says. The shop features ten immersive exhibits to "ignite the senses through scent, sight, sound and touch," and to "celebrate the experience the emotional power of scented candles."
Hope Margala, CEO of Home Fragrance, Newell Brands comments, "Scent has the power to take you places, whether it's a special aroma of home, the scent of the mountains from a hiking trip, or the fragrance of the beach. 'CandlePower' celebrates the power of scented candles to transform spaces and transport our consumers. We've taken some of the scents our shoppers love the most like Balsam & Cedar and built a way for them to experience it in an entirely new light."
Yankee Candle offers customized candles in jars decorated with any photo you choose, and they make a perfect holiday gift. Looking at the pop-up shop's Facebook page, the photo above on the left shows a giant size custom candle being set up in the shop. It has a digital screen in place of the custom label, and features a family photo. Perhaps visitors will be able to see how they look "on" a candle before ordering a custom decorated jar?
The pop-up shop will also feature a Scent Test Bar, to allow shoppers to match their personality type to a fragrance. The Museum Store section will display a wall of more than 100 iconic candles from the company's three brands, Yankee Candle, WoodWick and Chesapeake Bay.
