Bond No. 9 says its neighborhood has changed, so the brand has launched a new fragrance to reflect the current style of its street -- New Bond Street.
When the brand first opened its flagship boutique on the cobblestone sidestreet in NoHo in 1999, Bond Street wasn't the trendy hotspot it is now. "It still exudes a vintage downtown vibe, but it is no longer low-key and unassuming," the brand says.
The fragrance, New Bond Street, is a modern gourmand oriental scent. It opens with citrusy bergamot, pepper and dewy muguet, which is the scent's only floral. The mid-notes are soothing cocoa, high-energy coffee beans and creamy chestnut -- followed by lingering patchouli, vanilla and sandalwood, mingled with feral leatherwood.
The fire-engine-red bottle is decorated with black leopard spots, with the Bond No. 9 token logo front and center in gold relief.
New Bond Street arrives on counter September 15th. It will be sold at Bond No. 9 New York Boutiques, Saks Fifth Avenue nationwide, select Bloomingdale's stores, Harrods UK, Selfridges UK and on the brand's website.
