Berry Global Group, Inc. has announced that they will be presenting a number of sustainability initiatives at Pack Expo International, October 14 – 17 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
“We truly believe in the importance of and take seriously our role in sustainability,” said Tom Salmon, chairman and CEO of Berry. “As such, we are reaffirming our commitment to creating a more sustainable future by always advancing our material performance, manufacturing processes, and partnerships.”
In support of its commitment, Berry now offers fully recyclable options for all of its packaging product lines. In addition, the company is introducing new products with increased recycled content (PCR).
"We are continuing to increase PCR in our products. Our belief is this will drive incremental demand, stimulate the recycling industry and help justify reinvestment in recycling infrastructure," explained Salmon.
Of special note to the Personal Care/Beauty industry are eco-friendly bottles, jars, tubes and closures. Berry’s newly launched Verdant brand offers personal care brands packaging options with PCR content ranging from 25% to 100%.
“We look forward to continuing our work with industry organizations and brand owners as together we innovate new processes and products that will deliver more sustainable packaging,” added Salmon.
