Deciem founder Brandon Truaxe has been fired from the company he founded.
WWD reports that a Canadian judge made the ruling this morning -- granting an injunction from the Estée Lauder Companies, appointing co-ceo Nicola Kilner the sole, interim ceo.
The decision was due to this Instagram post by Truaxe, when he announced he was shutting down operations indefinitely -- and ELC, which owns a 28% stake in the business, filed a lawsuit against him.
There is also drama surrounding Kilner. She was fired by Truaxe last February because she "did not subscribe to the same peaceful values," Truaxe said, according to an email statement obtained by Racked. Six months later on July 3, 2018, Truaxe posted the Instagram photo above (on the right) of himself with Kilner, announcing that she was rejoining the company.
Deciem's website is also back up and running -- yesterday it was a blank red screen. The photo above on the left is a screenshot from Deciem's website.
