Bond No. 9 New York has launched New York Lips -- the fragrance company's first lipstick collection. 

There are nine shades of red -- packaged in a luxurious gold refillable case. 

Laurice Rahmé, Bond No. 9 founder and president, says, "We wanted to do an edit by family—like we have done for fragrance, with citrus, white florals, ouds, and fougères—that translates the spirit of New York, this time for the lips."

The long-wearing, high-performance formula is highly pigmented for true, crisp color. The lipstick is made with skincare ingredients and innovative technology, the company says, and has a cushiony, comfortable feel on the lips with "pillowy bounce."  

Rahmé adds, "We call it a smart lipstick. It glides on in one stroke; it knows where to go, and it lasts. It is the true essence of what a modern lipstick should be."

The lipstick is vegan, gluten-free,  and cruelty-free. It doesn't contain parabens, mineral oil, DEA, or phthalates.

The colors are Broadway, a cool cherry; Nolita, a timeless Hollywood Red; Fashion Avenue, a deep garnet; Astor, a pink-toned tulip; Madison, a classic 'stop sign' red; SoHo, a sophisticated plum; NoHo, a rich cranberry; Chelsea, a 'screen siren' red; and Park Avenue, a crisp scarlet. 

The collection will debut on Valentine's Day, February 14th -- and the box is decorated with lips -- and perfect for gift-giving.

The collection will be available in the U.S. at Bond No. 9 New York stores, select Bloomingdale's, and Saks Fifth Avenue stores nationwide. The lipstick and refillable case retails for $130; each refill bullet is $45. 

In the UK, the collection will be available at Harrod's and Selfridges.
