L'Oréal USA's SalonCentric, the company's professional distribution arm, has partnered with beauty tech platform bgX.
This partnership will provide SalonCentric with expanded distribution of salon professional products within New York, LA and Las Vegas - and an additional 40 cities in the United States.
So, what exactly does this mean? When a woman in Manhattan needs hairspray asap -- or a stylist needs professional hair color for a last-minute appointment with a client -- an Uber car will arrive to deliver the item, in 30 minutes or less.
bgX offers on-demand beauty services and is one of the world's fastest retail ecommerce delivery platforms, the company says, due to its partnership with Uber.
The beauty services app brings top beauty salons to the homes or workplaces of consumers within 30 minutes. The service evolves the way salons engage with urban customers to cater for their increasing need for instant-response premium salon services, which includes retail products.
Ali Rafi, co-founder/CEO, bgX, says: "Very excited to work with L'Oréal and SalonCentric integrating our platform with the global giants...It is an honour to be working with a team representing so many U.S. salons."
Bertrand Fontaine, president, SalonCentric, comments: "bgX enables brick-and-mortar salons to meet the growing requests for in-home salon services. By partnering with bgX, we ensure clients access to the best available stylists throughout the country."
