Marc Jacobs just held its Fall/Winter 2019 show, which "celebrated the individual natural beauty" of each of the 30 models in the show, the brand says.
To convey natural beauty, all the models wore minimalist makeup looks -- including Christy Turlington, who recently turned 50 years old, and looked amazing in this runway pic she posted on Instagram.
Makeup artist Diane Kendal, for Marc Jacobs Beauty (MJB), made sure each model looked unique -- with a spotlight on flawless, fresh, and glowing skin that was punctuated by a black lash or lashline.
Each authentic beauty look featured "skin as the star" the brand states.
MJB's New Skincare
Kendal used the following new MJB products on the models: Youthquake Gel Crème Moisturizer, which will launch in June; Accomplice Concealer & Touch-up Stick, and Accomplice Instant Blurring Beauty Powder with Brush, both launching in April.
As MJB's first skincare products, Youthquake and Accomplice will give the skin a "filtered" look, the brand says.
Runway Makeup Looks
Kendal also gave each model "a dash of blacquer" around the eye, in a shape that was unique to each model, to capture their individual beauty.
On the eyes, Kendal used MJB's Fineliner Ultra-Skinny Gel eye crayon eyeliner; Highliner gel eye crayon eyeliner; Magic Marc’er Precision Pen waterproof liquid eyeliner, all in Blacquer; with Velvet Noir Major Volume mascara.
On the cheeks, Kendal used Le Marc liquid lip crayon and New Nudes sheer gel lipstick. Kendal created a feminine, natural flush by smudging brownish, rosy nude lipsticks into the cheeks for subtle color.
On the lips, Kendal used Lip Lock Moisture Balm spf 18 -- also adding it to the eyelids and top of the cheekbones to give a dewy sheen to the overall finish of the makeup.
