Mana Products, a leading contract and private label cosmetics manufacturer, has a project in the works aimed at consolidating and streamlining its operations. Mana Products is based in Long Island City.
The company's Hunters Point location, at 27-11 49th Ave., will expand, the LIC Post reports. Mana Products are assembled, packaged and warehoused in the Hunters Point facility -- and then shipped to customers.
The three-story location at Hunters Point is currently 214,000 square ft., and will expand to about 322,000 square feet, according to the article, if Mana's proposed amendment to zoning laws is approved.
Mana's research and development, product development, art and creative teams will move to Hunters Point after the expansion is complete. The staff currently occupies the top half of a company-owned building ten blocks away on Queens Boulevard.
Mana Products anticipates a 25 percent workforce increase in the five years after the proposed expansion at Hunters Point is completed.
Mana Products has been making products for some of the largest global beauty brands since 1975.
