Headquartered in Thun, Switzerland, Hoffmann Neopac, a global provider of high-quality packaging for a broad array of industries and applications, has announced that it has joined the Tube Council of North America as Neopac US Inc. With a comprehensive line of tube solutions, Neopac’s new membership syncs with the opening of its first U.S. facility in Wilson, NC. A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on May 16 to mark the facility’s launch; Neopac executives will be in attendance for interviews, and VIPs and media will have access to site tours.
Neopac’s 37,000-square-foot Wilson plant will feature a high-speed tube line and contain floor space for several additional packaging lines. In total, the facility can support the production of some 80 million tubes annually. Such capabilities position Neopac to best serve the needs of the North American market in a twofold capacity: in the small tubes niche, especially in the pharma, cosmetics and animal health sectors, and also for emerging applications such as cannabis-based creams and liquids.
A wide range of small-diameter tubes will be produced at the North Carolina plant utilizing the company’s signature Polyfoil technology. Polyfoil is a proprietary blend of materials providing advanced barrier properties for products requiring ample protection against moisture, oxygen and other potentially harmful external factors. Products housed in Polyfoil solutions can enjoy a longer shelf life compared to those stored in conventional polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) packaging.
The Tube Council of North America is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational resources and networking opportunities to professionals in the tube industry. Members of the Council are offered numerous benefits, including access to peer support and strategies regarding the promotion of tubes and tube manufacturing companies. These resources will help position Neopac for continued success as the company attains its first manufacturing foothold in North America.
