The Estée Lauder Companies has announced key leadership changes at Smashbox and GlamGlow. Both brands are part of the portfolio led by John Demsey, Executive Group President.
The following changes are effective immediately:
Sejal Shah Miller has joined the company as Senior Vice President, Global General Manager, Smashbox.
She reports directly to John Demsey and joins the company’s extended executive leadership team. She succeeds Beth DiNardo, who has made the decision to retire from her position as Global Brand President, Smashbox and GLAMGLOW.
Arnaud Goullin has been appointed Senior Vice President, Global General Manager, GLAMGLOW, effective immediately.
He reports directly to John Demsey and joins the company’s extended executive leadership team. He succeeds Paula Pontes, who has decided to step down from her position as Senior Vice President, Global General Manager, GLAMGLOW.

New Smashbox Leadership: Sejal Shah Miller
In her new role, Ms. Shah Miller will be responsible for driving Smashbox’s brand equity and global expansion while capturing new avenues for growth. Her focus will include reinforcing Smashbox’s studio-born DNA, advancing the brand’s digital and influencer marketing leadership, and accelerating product innovation and commercial opportunities. She will be based at Smashbox’s Los Angeles headquarters.
Demsey remarked, “Sejal comes to us with a phenomenal track record of leading transformative marketing and commercial strategies for iconic consumer and beauty brands. She understands what it takes to drive breakthrough ideas and bring teams together, which position her well to lead Smashbox into its next chapter of growth.”
Most recently, Miller served as Senior Vice President, Global General Manager at Mattel where she oversaw the Girls & Games portfolios which include the Polly Pocket, Uno and Scrabble franchises. Prior, she headed Global and U.S. Marketing for the Barbie brand franchise and played a pivotal role in architecting the brand’s turnaround and evolution. During her tenure, the Barbie brand experienced significant sales growth and improvement in brand equity.
Previously, Miller spent nearly a decade with L’Oréal’s Luxury Division, where she held a variety of marketing roles globally, regionally and locally with increasing responsibility for a range of brands including Viktor & Rolf, Lancôme, Biotherm, Ralph Lauren, and Giorgio Armani
New GLAMGLOW Leadership: Arnaud Goullin
Goullin will be responsible for accelerating GlamGlow's global brand equity, developing and executing the brand strategy, and expanding the brand’s global footprint. He will be based at the brand's Hollywood headquarters and will partner closely with Shannon Dellimore, co-founder and creative director, to drive new development and innovation opportunities and relationships for the brand.
Demsey shared, “Arnaud is a dynamic, highly talented executive with extensive global experience and proven leadership within prestige beauty. His collaborative leadership style, strength in brand building and deep international expertise will greatly benefit GLAMGLOW in pivoting to new growth opportunities.
Goullin joined the company in 2006 and most recently led Clinique’s Global International organization. In 2017, he added Retail and Education to his portfolio of responsibilities. In this position, he has been instrumental in driving Clinique’s retail concepts, the digitalization of education, the brand’s strategies in retail technology and the optimization of the brand’s go-to-market process.
He previously served as Vice President and General Manager, International APAC and Latin America, M·A·C Cosmetics, where he led the distribution and marketing strategies in both regions and helped define the brand’s global retail strategy. Prior to that role, he served as Brand General Manager, Estée Lauder, for the France affiliate.
Before joining ELC, Mr. Goullin worked for Shiseido-BPI for eight years, where he served in various roles of increasing responsibility, including five years as the GM of the Italy affiliate.
