Moroccanoil has launched a color-depositing mask collection -- packaged in tubes, as shown in the Instagram post below.
The temporary hair masks deposit pure pigments -- with the treatment benefits of a deep conditioning mask.
Designed to enhance color vibrancy for all hair types, the masks will refresh an existing tone or allow for experimentation.
Carmen Tal, co-founder, Moroccanoil, says, "We value our leadership position in care, so with all new launches, we want to be sure we're capitalizing on trends while continuing to reinforce our brand DNA. We're excited to introduce a collection that stays true to that philosophy, providing equal parts color and care for results with instant gratification."
The formula contains "ArganID," and the brand describes how this ingredient works, saying, "positively charged micro-particles are attracted to the negatively charged hair fiber, infusing argan oil into the cortex while simultaneously helping to repair and seal the hair." The product also contains an Amino Acid Blend for color protection and repair benefits; Apricot Kernel Oil; Hydrolyzed Soy Protein; Panthenol; and the conditioning agent Polyquaternium-70.
To use, apply a generous amount to clean, towel-dried hair. Section hair and distribute product evenly using a wide-tooth comb. Leave on 5–7 minutes depending on desired intensity, then rinse thoroughly.
PCR Tubes & 7 Shades
The new hair mask line is packaged in 200 ml tubes made out of 50% post-consumer recycled plastic. There are also 30 ml packettes.
The shade range includes Champagne, a warm golden blonde; Platinum, a cool, icy blonde; Hibiscus, with brilliant pink tones; Aquamarine, with cool, blue tones; and Rose Gold, with soft pink and golden tones - all for light to medium blonde hair. For darker shades, from light to dark brown, the options are Bordeaux, a deep crimson brown; and Cocoa, a rich medium brown.
The Moroccanoil Color Depositing Masks are available for purchase beginning August 15th at Sephora, online and in-store, and on the brand's website.
