Shiseido's team celebrated the upcoming relaunch of Clé de Peau Beauté's La Crème.
The high-performance luxury face cream's new cutting-edge formula will ship to retailers in Spring 2020. Housed in a luxe gold jar, the brand says it is "an exquisite jewel-like package."
The new La Crème was unveiled during an exclusive event in Central London's Hyde Park, attended by more than 100 key editors, influencers and retailers from around the world.
The party was hosted by Yukari Suzuki, chief brand officer for Clé de Peau Beauté, and Katsunori Yoshida, chief technology officer of the Clé de Peau Beauté Laboratory.
Suzuki commented, "La Crème sits at the heart of Clé de Peau Beauté and we are proud and honored to present the new and revitalized formulation, which is underpinned by our relentless commitment to science and skincare innovation."
Suzuki continued, "It is an icon of luxury...We are excited by the endless possibilities ahead that are charted by the dedication of a committed R&D team, constantly striving to forge new scientific frontiers to deliver a radiance so remarkable that it emanates from within."
The New Formula
The team says the revitalized edition of the iconic La Crème is a "recrafted masterpiece." This is the product's eighth reformulation.
It contains a proprietary complex called the "Skin-Empowering Illuminator" -- a blend of platinum golden silk essence, Japanese pearl shell extract, theanine, Perilla extract, and Angelica Acutiloba extract.
These ingredients claim to enhance the skin's ability to repair and defend itself from damage caused by various stressors.
La Crème also now contains the new CeraFerment extract, crafted from a yeast that was discovered in Japan's Akita Prefecture. This extract enhances skin's ability to regenerate and become firm from within.
The product's rich, luxuriant texture was crafted over multiple days, the brand states, describing it as "a precise multi-step process and highly measured approach, meticulously blending over sixty curated ingredients."
Clé de Peau Beauté Debuts in Europe
The celebratory event also marked another significant milestone -- Clé de Peau Beauté's launch in Europe, with London as its first port of call.
A gala dinner was held at the Corinthia Hotel London, which Clé de Peau Beauté co-hosted with global brand ambassador Felicity Jones.
